In The Story of Jonah by Elaine M. Medeiros, Jonah was a believer in the Lord God and new Him to be kind, loving, and compassionate. God sent Jonah to Nineveh to warn the people of His impending punishment for their evil deeds, and Jonah feared they would not listen to him and he tried to run as far away from the presence of the Lord. But the Lord is everywhere and Jonah encountered a big storm that caused him to find himself thrown overboard and swallowed whole by a great fish. This fish carried him to Nineveh where Jonah was spat out and he tries to fulfill the duty that God has given him.
