Matthew's used to having everything a boy could want. But now his whole life has changed. He misses all he's had to leave behind. Instead of playing with his friends back home in Jerusalem, he's living in Bethlehem where he doesn't know anyone. And to make matters worse, his cousins keep teasing him, calling him 'king of the stable'. It's a name that reminds him of how far he is from home and the life he's always known. In fact, this bewildering new place makes him feel like he's the only little boy in the world who doesn't fit in. But when he meets a young couple desperately in need of shelter, he learns that someone does know what he's going through, and that he's not so alone after all.
