Dedicate a portion of your school day to boosting your students' word skills with Spelling, Vocabulary, & Poetry IV. Tenth grade students will read and memorize poetry and work their way through vocabulary lists that include syllabication, pronunciation, part of speech, etymology, definition, sentence example, synonyms, antonyms, and related forms. Each lesson gives students practice using the 'Word Analyzer,' which is made up of Greek and Latin prefixes, suffixes, and roots, teaching students how to determine the meaning of new words based on roots. Verbal analogies as well as multiple lessons on 'The Four Spelling Rules to Master' are also included. Approximately 117 pages. Grade 10.
