This study and teaching guide is designed to accompany Susan Wise Bauer's The History of the Ancient World.Created for teachers, parents, or tutors working with students, not as an independent book for students to work through, each chapter in the book has four sets of exercises in this study guide:
'Who, What, Where': focuses on basic information on people, places, and ideas.
'Comprehension:' requires students to express the main concepts in 2-3 sentences.
'Critical Thinking:' requires a brief written reflection on the ideas in the chapter.
'Map Work:' asks students to grace, copy, and reproduce a set of maps using tracing paper.
Arranged by chapter, each section features the term, question, or assignment with the answer in bold immediately following; each answer also features the page number and paragraph number in the book where the answer may be found. Samples are given for the writing assignments, even though student responses will vary. Sections also list whether students may or may not use their texts as a reference.
536 pages, softcover. Non-reproducible, non-consumable text. High School.
