Testing learning ability through dictation, sentences for teachers to read are found partially in the How to Spell 2 Teacher's Key, and partially in the book How to Teach Spelling. Students begin by reading phonics groups and example sentences, before moving on to practicing writing words that exhibit the same phonics trait. Rules and words are learned by reading aloud, copying down, and some contextualizing exercises.
